General

Section titled “Is Pulse free?”Pulse is currently in private beta. Reach out to support@oikon.ai to request access.
What if my email is not on the beta list?
Section titled “What if my email is not on the beta list?”You will see a 403 “Access is by invitation only” error on the sign-in page. Contact support@oikon.ai to request a beta invite.
How do I change my display name?
Section titled “How do I change my display name?”Go to Settings and edit the Display name field, then click Save. See Settings for details.
Can I disable email delivery?
Section titled “Can I disable email delivery?”Yes — uncheck Enable email digest in Settings and click Save. Your digest is still generated and available on the web; only email delivery is paused.
What newsletters does Pulse support?
Section titled “What newsletters does Pulse support?”Any newsletter delivered by email. Pulse works with Substack, Beehiiv, Ghost, Mailchimp, ConvertKit, and any other email-based newsletter — if it arrives in your inbox, you can forward it to Pulse.
Does Pulse store the full email content?
Section titled “Does Pulse store the full email content?”Pulse stores a cleaned, extracted version of each newsletter — the article text and metadata. Original HTML emails are not retained after processing.
Ingest
Section titled “Ingest”How long does it take for a forwarded email to appear?
Section titled “How long does it take for a forwarded email to appear?”Forwarded emails are processed within a few minutes under normal load.
Can I import past newsletters?
Section titled “Can I import past newsletters?”Yes — export an MBOX file from Google Takeout (or your email client) and upload it via Settings → Sources. Large archives are processed using the Gemini Batch API and typically complete within 10–30 minutes.
Why didn’t my forwarded email show up?
Section titled “Why didn’t my forwarded email show up?”A few common causes:
- The sender domain is a generic email provider (gmail.com, outlook.com) — these are blocked
- The email was forwarded from an address not registered with your account
- The email was a transactional email rather than a newsletter — Pulse filters these out
Can I add sources from multiple email accounts?
Section titled “Can I add sources from multiple email accounts?”Yes. Add secondary email addresses in Settings → Email Addresses. Each address gets its own ingest token and can be assigned a persona.
Digest
Section titled “Digest”Why did I get fewer than 5 items in my digest?
Section titled “Why did I get fewer than 5 items in my digest?”Pulse applies a minimum relevance threshold — items that don’t meet the bar are excluded. This is intentional: a shorter, higher-quality digest is better than padding with irrelevant content.
Why is the same newsletter appearing too often?
Section titled “Why is the same newsletter appearing too often?”Each source is capped at 2 items per digest. If a source is still dominating, try giving some of its items a thumbs down to reduce its affinity score.
Can I change my digest delivery time?
Section titled “Can I change my digest delivery time?”Yes — go to Settings and use the time picker to set your preferred Digest time (HH:MM, UTC). See Settings for details.
How do I reactivate a deactivated source?
Section titled “How do I reactivate a deactivated source?”In Settings → Sources, find the inactive source and click Reactivate (the button turns green on hover). The source is restored and included in future digests. See Sources for details.
Why didn’t I receive a weekly or monthly digest?
Section titled “Why didn’t I receive a weekly or monthly digest?”Weekly digests are sent on Sundays; monthly digests are sent on the 1st of each month. If there was not enough new content in the window, no digest is sent.
Privacy & Security
Section titled “Privacy & Security”Who can see my digest content?
Section titled “Who can see my digest content?”Only you. Your content is stored with row-level security enforced at the database layer — no other user can access your articles, sources, or digest history.
How do I delete my account?
Section titled “How do I delete my account?”Contact support@oikon.ai to request account deletion. All associated data will be removed.
